The Twelve Year Program (TYP) functions as the formal guide for budgeting, design, and construction for improvements in all modes of transportation; and as federal and state funds become available, projects are implemented. The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) consists of the first four years of the TYP. The two programs are updated biannually.
